OBJECTIVES

The group's research objectives cover the following areas:

  • Engaging in international research and establishing networks centered on migration, mobility, and ethnicity to promote global collaboration and knowledge exchange.
  • Developing and evaluating perspectives on public policies related to migration and integration, while integrating digital technologies within diverse research teams, such as those at the SocioDigital Lab and the Emigration Observatory.
  • Implementing research-action initiatives that have a tangible impact on educational institutions and civil society, involving public, private, and third sectors to drive meaningful change.

EVENTS

Cultural Diversity in Contemporary Families Seminars

These sessions aim to develop a critical and interdisciplinary debate on contemporary families whose conjugal and family dynamics are guided by cultural diversity.



Meetings on China Studies

The aim of these events is to provide knowledge and critical debate on theoretical and empirical work by academics or other professionals, seeking to stimulate an interdisciplinary approach with the contribution of sociology, anthropology, political science, international relations, economics, management, history and literature.



Meetings on Migratory Experiences

Their main objective is interdisciplinary exchange on studies in the field of international migration. At each meeting, participants focus on specific research or work, crossing practices and questions in their methodological and/or theoretical aspects, which are underway or have already been completed.
