On 5 March, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) launched the Opening Notice for the Call for PhD Research Grants in all Scientific Fields 2024, in the General Line and in a Non-Academic Environment. Applications will be open between 17 March and 16 April 2025.

All interested parties, including members of staff and students on CIES-Iscte doctoral programmes, must submit their intention to apply by sending the following information by 28 March 2025 by email to concursos.cies@iscte-iul.pt:

• Doctoral programme you are enrolled in (or will enrol in)
• Title of the work programme
• Supervising team
• Indication of the line of research being applied for (General or Non-Academic)

For those approved to submit an application to the FCT with CIES-Iscte as the Host Institution, there will be a zoom session to support the preparation of applications and clarify any doubts.
