The National Day for Scientific Culture on November 24th was established in 1997 to honour Rómulo de Carvalho and promote his work in advancing scientific culture and teaching science.
This week celebrates Science and Technology Week, which is an engaging and thought-provoking event. It involves inviting the community, particularly schoolchildren, to creatively and instructively learn about the production of knowledge and its various stages.
At CIES-Iscte, this initiative has been ongoing for several years, and high schools are enthusiastic about participating. These activities are dedicated to introducing the different methods used in sociology and other social sciences, providing opportunities for learning and sharing experiences and fostering exchanges between students and CIES researchers.
