Iscte-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa will be present at the European Researchers' Night (ERN) 2023, taking place on September 29 at the National Museum of Natural History and Science in Lisbon. Between 5pm and midnight, ERN participants will have the opportunity to get to know some studies and projects carried out by six Iscte research units. The event is free to the public.
CIES-Iscte will be present at ERN 2023 with the Stone Soup game, an activity organised by researcher Rita Cachado as part of the Erasmus+ CliCCHE project - Climate change, cities, communities and Equity in health.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The story of the Stone Soup is a folk tale of traditional Portuguese history that has been passed down from generation to generation, and despite the different versions of the legend, the lesson of the story remains to this day: a lesson of generosity and sharing, showing that from scarce resources there is always a chance of achieving good results.
We invite everyone to participate in Stone Soup. This game provides a safe and inclusive space for everyone to contribute their ideas and constructive criticism for the future of our communities. The allusion to the story is explained through the metaphor: the stone represents the future and the pot represents the community and/or neighbourhood in question.
Everyone is invited to take part and reflect on urban change!
