About the Silva Leal Award:

In Homage to Prof. António da Silva Leal, who as a Professor and politician has excelled in the defense and development of policies subordinated to the duty of solidarity among all citizens, the Iscte and the Secretary of State for Social Security instituted the Silva Leal Award. It is worth 2,500 euros and is awarded annually to Iscte students who have excelled in the development of work relevant to the study of policies and practices in the fields of social security, solidarity and social economy.
