Ler História
Published since 1983, Ler Historia is a peer-reviewed History journal, primarily focused on the history of Portugal, the Portuguese empire and the Lusophone countries in the early modern and contemporary periods. The journal publishes in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
Privileging the comparative, transnational and global approaches, the journal’s scope of interests also includes other chronologies and geographies (e.g., the Iberian-American world, Africa, Asia, and others). Ler Historia is also committed to promoting the debate on historiographical issues and particularly welcomes contributions on the theory and methodology of historical knowledge.
Ler História is published jointly by CIES-Iscte and CEI-Iscte.
